Tammy and
Darryl,
Words
cannot express how grateful I am to have found you guys. When I
bought Apollo I knew he deserved the professional training, and a
structured life. I never imagined it would affect the entire
household with such magnitude. I lacked the time (and knowledge,
quite frankly) to bring him to the level of obedience he was capable
of. I know it has been a while since Apollo left your facility, but
I have been meaning to send you this the week after I got him.
Apollo has a sense of confidence about him that came from your
Advanced training. I continue to work with him on a consistent
basis, and I see daily results. He has a desire to learn, and
motivation to please . Every time we are in public I get numerous
compliments on not only a great looking dog, but perfectly behaved
dog. I have attached some pictures so he can be on your wall of
fame. In the words of Mastercard “ A 22” choke collar, $7.99, a
6’ leash $12.99, a bag of Wellness dry food $45.00, A well trained
member of the family……… PRICELESS….”
Denali, Belgian Malinois
Just thought
I'd drop a quick note and update you on Denali's progress.
After a rough week or two after bringing her home, with her
having a bit of a time adjusting from seeing you as the Alpha
to seeing me as the boss, she has settled into a great spot.
It's been a couple months now with consistent work almost
everyday, and she is a poster child for what obedience should
be.
She is 100%
recallable off leash, even under extreme distractions now.
I've even been able to off leash recall her while in the
middle of chasing. She is flawless. One command, one time,
and she knows it all. Her down stays will last upwards of 30
minutes (I haven't tried longer). We will soon start working
on some flashier stuff like we had discussed before.
Anyway,
she's doing great and just thought I'd let ya know what
a great job you guys did. But you know that of course.
Whitney - German Shepherd
Its
true what they say, you can teach old dog tricks, in this
case, to behave. Whitney went to Tri County behaving
like a fool and left the fool
behavior in Magnolia. We work each day on her training and
are now at the stage where one command is all she needs.
The dog aggression I experienced before I took her to Tri
County is not as strong. When she feels
a need to act out on the
aggression, I am now
able to control her. This is what I needed and
received.
I thank
Tammy and Darryl for their patience with Whitney and great
training program.

The boys are doing great and
listening much better we have been practicing a little bit
each day since Monday.

Kobe - Dutch Shepherd
I wanted to say how happy I am with
Kobe's training. I can definitely tell that he is very clear
on his commands. i was very excited to begin training sessions
with him, but unfortunately he was bitten by a snake
yesterday. his face swelled up like a balloon, but he looks
much better today. it will probably take a while before the
swelling goes down and i can start working with him, but at
least he is ok! i just wanted to say thank you.

Payton - Labrador
RetrieverX
Payton is great. We are in a new house with a nice yard,
which she loves. She does great on the leash and I am keeping
up with the commands. It has helped to make her see me as the
"one in charge". And that was probably the biggest problem
before. I will definitely recommend your services to people I
know. I will call if there are any issues or if Payton and I
need additional training.
Best,
Jesse and Payton
Mo - Rottweiler
He is doing very well. We have been practicing his commands,
and he has learned them very well. We have moved on to making
him do some commands before he gets his meals as you
suggested. He catches on very quickly. So far so good.
Thank you again for all the work you both have done for Mo!
Laura
Soffe 8 month old Grt. Pyrenees
Soffe is doing well with her training. We practice the
commands every day, although not for very long. Most of the time
she does well, but sometimes she is slow to respond. But with a
"reminder" tug on the leash, she does what she is supposed to
do. She is much more controlable when a truck or motorcycle pass
us on the road during our daily walk. As part of her "no free
lunch" program, I started making her sit and stay before I would
give her her food. After about a week she started to do it on
her own without me having to give her a command.
Wayne and I are both pleased with the training she received
from you. Wayne mentioned just the other day that he wants her
to have the advanced obedience training when she matures more.
For right now, I don't think we need any follow-up. But if we
notice any problems, I'll be sure to get in touch with you.

06 Elijah Blue, Australian Shepherd
Hi Darryl and
Tammy,
We love our
dog. Our first night back together went very smoothly as did our
first morning. He is a different dog. My husband is doing very
well with him and loves his behavior.
We thank you
for all your good works on our dog. We are very proud of Elijah.
The Kimbrell’s
November 06 Lucy, German Shepherd Dog
Tammy
and Darryl,
Lucy is doing GREAT! She is very well behaved in and out of
the house. I have been working with her everyday and each day
she is doing better with me. Of course she still doesn't like my
cats and they don't like her much but they manage. I take her
out running every morning and when I work with her I make sure
she has walked a little of her energy off as well. I took her to
the park yesterday and I had about a 20ft lead on her and let it
go(of course she had her e-collar on) and she did wonderful. She
was in the middle of a grassy area in between construction going
on in the tennis court and a little girl on the other side
playing on the playground and I told her to Down/Stay and I
turned and walked away about 45ft or so and she was still
sitting there looking at me waiting to run back to me. Of course
the first peep out of my mouth and she was barreling towards me.
I just wanted to say Thanks So Much. I never would've let go
of her leash and expected her to stay near me before and now I
am doing so much more with her. Here are some pics of her.

March 06-Buck, 7 Month Old Labrador Retriever
I can't believe it's the same dog-
I started working him just a little last night, and he's doing
awesome.
I wanted to say THANK YOU so much
for training Buck- I think your program is a great way to get
a head start in having a well behaved dog- the literature that
came home with us is helpful as well. Seeing it in "black and
white" and reviewing the dvd for reminders is awesome.
Thanks again!

Meg and Sam
Just
wanted to share some photo's of Meg in her very happy home! We
love her! I think her and Sam (our other lab) were mean't for
each other as they have an unbreakable bond!
Also, thanks to Tammy and Darryl at TriCounty K9, they are
much easier to handle now!
March 06-Stormy and Maddie (Mix breed and
Beagle)
Stormy is still
the star student! She responds to the commands very well when
we are training, and for the most part does everything that she
is told. Stormy has learned that if she wants to get scratched
or pet, she should sit and wait for scratches instead of jumping
on me or Brandon.
Taking Maddie
for a walk is fun! She actually walks much better than Stormy.
There is always slack in the leash, and only occasionally do I
have to tell her to wait--she even heels nicely too.
Overall....both
dogs are doing great, and I'm so thankful to you for all that
you have done with them. The 3 weeks in boot camp is definitely
paying off. Several of our neighbors have commented about how
well-behaved the dogs are when I'm walking them. That is such a
good feeling! Thanks so much for all you have done with Stormy
and Maddie!

Dazzle
In late 2004 Santa brought to our house a beautiful
Rottweiler pup named Dazzle. I think it is important for you to
know our family consists of a 9 year old boy, 4 year old girl, a
West Highland Terrier name Woody, a rabbit named flower and a
chicken named Daisy, all living in a city sized backyard.
Needless to say we stay very busy.
With all the negative publicity in today’s
media about certain breeds and how they relate to young children
and other animals, we were naturally concerned about bringing a
rottweiler into our home. While my wife and I have been around
animals all of our lives it became obvious in a short time that
we were no match for the new addition.
We sought the advice of everyone, all
stating that we needed the help of a third party. As quick as
the research began Tri-county K9 Academy was the obvious choice.
The personal interest these guys took was fantastic and slightly
rare. While they gave a clear and concise picture of the steps
that would be taken, it was clear that this team truly cared
about 2 things, my satisfaction and the animals well being.
We enrolled Dazzle for the beginners
training, which by the way is humbly named………….. Period. The
skills, with close to perfection, Darryl trained into her were
well done before picking Dazzle up to then move into the home
integration phase .We had a target date to pick her up and
Darryl called and moved that date back a week at no extra cost
due to the couple unforeseen off work days due to Hurricane
Rita. When we came to pick our dog up we were given a DVD
showing Dazzle at work with Darryl in which he demonstrated
using several techniques he used to achieve Dazzle's success. He
was quick to point out that he had only laid the ground work for
what was to be “Work in progress “. Darryl had given us a
foundation and now it was up to us to continue the work with
Dazzle until the training she had achieved became second
nature.
Darryl also assured us that if we ever
found ourselves in a situation that Dazzle was not responding to
her commands or she just needed a tune up let him know. That day
came about 3 weeks after we got back from training. We called
Darryl to see if he had any suggestions, he asked us if we could
set aside some time for him to come to our home and work with us
to get her back on track. My wife and I were amazed at the
follow thru and attention to detail that we were given.
I can assure if you have a need for gaining
love, affection and control over your 4 legged friends Darrel is
the person that will help you achieve that need. Once again I
can only say thank you Tri-County K9 from our entire family.
